Grieving Brother Says He Wouldn't Have To Visit "Sister's Grave" If Domestic Abuser Database Was Set Up

The new Justice Minister says he is committed to establishing a database of domestic abusers.

It comes after the measure wasn't included in the programme for Government - prompting a backlash from the family of murder victim Jennifer Poole.

They had been campaigning for a register of domestic abusers, to make women aware if they were entering a relationship with someone who has a violent history.

Speaking on Kildare Today this morning, Jennifer's brother Jason Poole said if legislation was in place he wouldn't have to visit his "sister's grave".
