Gardaí in Kildare are ramping up road safety checks this weekend, following a nationwide push to tackle speeding and dangerous driving
Gardaí will be stepping up checks for speeding in Kildare and across the country, over the weekend.
This comes after 189 drivers were caught speeding on National Slow Down Day yesterday, highlighting the ongoing issue of dangerous driving.
The Christmas Road Safety Campaign, which is active in Kildare and nationwide, is also urging drivers to avoid using their mobile phones while behind the wheel.
