Gardai Celebrate 100 years in Kildare

Parade in Kildare Town and open day at station

A number of events are being held in Kildare Town today to mark 100 years of the Gardai in the county.

A parade will arrive to Market Square just before midday, where the Deputy Commissioner Anne Marie McMahon will take part in an opening ceremony.

There's an open day at Kildare Garda Station from 2pm to 6pm, so people can meet local officers as well as specialised units.
