29-year-old died following assault in Monasterevin
Gardai are awaiting the results of a post mortem examination on the body of the man who was assaulted in Monasterevin over the weekend.
29-year-old Dylan McCarthy died as a result of his injuries after being taken to Tallaght University Hospital.
He was assaulted, along with his father and friend, on the Dublin Road in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Stephen Breen, the crime editor with The Irish Sun, told Kildare Focus here on KFM that the post-mortem will determine Gardai's the next step.
