Gaelscoil Chill Dara In Newbridge Hosts Fundraising Events To Support New Autism Class

Principal Niamh Ui Chadhla said keeping a classroom going is expensive.

Gaelscoil Chill Dara in Newbridge is organising a number of events for a new class for children with autism.

In September 2025, the school opened Rang Zoé last year, a class for autistic children.

Principal Niamh Ui Chadhla said keeping a classroom going is expensive.

She said funds were provided by the Government for technology, furniture and a sensory room but they haven't gone far enough.

She said the fundraising events will raise money for upkeep and that everyone can get involved, with full details available via the school's Instagram account, Gaelscoil Chill Dara 2025.
