Locals hoping to cut back on booze in January have been encouraged to sign up to the Sober Start Programme.

Speaking on Kildare Today, Broadcaster Keith Walsh said joining the programme can be a fun way to limit alcohol consumption, with participants offered support and mini challenges along the way.
