Magnus Brunner is visiting Ireland, where he's spoken to Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan.

The EU Migration Minister says Ireland is well placed to adopt the Migration and Asylum pact.

Magnus Brunner is visiting Ireland, where he's spoken to Justice Minister Jim O'Callaghan about the legislation.

It comes as Cabinet is set to approve measures which will mean someone won't be able to apply for citizenship until five years after being granted asylum.

Commissioner Brunner believes the international protection accommodation at Citywest is an example of "best practice".
