27 local projects will benefit, in all.

27 Kildare projects are being allocated a combined €148,000 under the 2021 Community Enhancement Programme.

The funding will support capital projects and/or equipment to enhance facilities and towards costs associated with reopening or sustainability of facilities impacted by the Covid 19 pandemic.

The projects include facilities such as community centres, parish halls and youth centres in areas including Kilcock, Allenwood, Athy, Moone and Kilshanroe.

Applications were sought by Kildare’s Local Community Development Committee from community groups in Kildare who assessed the applications based on the two levels of funding available – small scale applications of up to €2,000 and larger scale applications of up to €10,000.
