The warning came following on from an incident in Dublin today, with the ISPCA warning the public not to donate to individuals posing as their charity.
KWWSPCA stated that they had a similar incident recently with a fraudster posing as their charity to get money.
This individual would ring people to gain donations.
Their advice to people to help identify fraudsters is to be alert if they are “pushy” when seeking donations.
It's also advisable to request ID and a permit.
