Department of Education Approves New Junior Infants Teacher In Ballymore Eustace

A second junior infants class will now be created

The Department of Education has approved the appointment of a new junior infants teacher for Scoil Mhuire Primary School in Ballymore Eustace.

Last month we reported that up to 16 parents were left in limbo, as their children were refused a place in the school.

However, this afternoon the school has received confirmation from the Department that another teacher can be appointed for the 2024/25 academic year, meaning places can now be offered to all applicants, with the creation of a second junior infants class.

Local Fine Gael Cllr. Evie Sammon says the news will come as a great relief to parents in Ballymore Eustace.
