Sources have revealed to Kfm that the station is set to close
The Curragh Camp Fire Station is set to close, according to sources close to Kfm.
The fire service in the Curragh Camp is a full time 24/7 operation, where four full time personnel are stationed.
The Department of Defence have confirmed to Kfm that the operations at the Kildare Station are under review.
Speaking on Kildare Today, Kildare South Independent TD Cathal Berry said that he would not be in favour of closing the station.
However, he said the main reason the station is under review is the staff crisis in the Defence Forces.
