Danny Healy-Rae Criticised Over Claims Linking Autism To Vitamin Deficiency

A number of his colleagues have asked him to formally withdraw the remarks, which included a suggestion autistic people were deficient in vitamins.

A TD, who suggested a link between autism and vitamin deficiency, is being called on to withdraw his comments.

Speaking in the Dáil, Danny Healy-Rae claimed autism was on the rise and more needed to be done to find out why.

A number of his colleagues have asked him to formally withdraw the remarks, which included a suggestion autistic people were deficient in vitamins.

Adam Harris, CEO of the charity AsIAm, says discussion around autism must be based on evidence, not myths.
