Uisce Éireann is urging residents and businesses to prepare by ensuring they have sufficient on-site water storage.
Uisce Éireann is advancing a vital project to repair a major water main connecting the Ballymore Eustace Water Treatment Plant to the Saggart Reservoir, a key pipeline that supplies approximately one-third of the drinking water for the Greater Dublin Area (GDA).
Uisce Eireann said the repair is crucial as the pipeline, if left unaddressed, is at risk of bursting, potentially leading to widespread water outages affecting up to 1.7 million people.
To facilitate the repairs, a water outage is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13th, from 9 am to 6 pm, impacting customers in Naas, Mullacash, Ballymore Eustace, Ardenode, Brannockstown, Carnalway, Killashee, Naas East, Naas West, Naas North, Caragh, Rathasker Heights, Bishopshill and surrounding areas.
