The price of land in Kildare has increased by 13% since 2020.
Kildare has retained its position as the county with the most expensive land in the country at €15,000 an acre, an increase of 13% on 2020.
The report by the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland also predicts that land rental prices will increase by an average of 10%.
Farmland prices are expected to rise by 6% nationally this year.
A review of prices last year showed averages ranging from €5,000 to €10,000 an acre, depending on the quality and location of the land.
James Lee, Chair of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland's Rural Agency Committee, expects further increases in farmland prices this year:
