A councillor says she is angry about incidents at the Ballymore Eustace Water Treatment Plant.

It is the largest such facility in Ireland, supplying 750,000 people.

Contaminated water passed through the plant in August, for a brief period.

Irish Water says the issue was not reported to it for almost week.

Unlike a contamination incident at a plant in Wexford at around the same time, no illnesses have arisen from events at Ballymore Eustace.

Irish Water's statement on both incidents is here

Fine Gael Cllr., Evie Sammon, sits on the Naas Municipal District.

She's been speaking to Kildare Today.

Cllr. Sammon joined Eoin Beatty on Wednesday's edition of the programme, where she also discussed her motions before the September meeting of the MD.
