A councillor says its unacceptable that rats have infested a Kildare housing estate.

Social Democrats Cllr., Bill Clear says there is a "serious vermin infestation" in parts of St Brigids Terrace, Sallins, and adds its particularly problematic in the "lane ways and properties"

Many of the homes there are, or were, owned by KCC

The councillor wants Kildare County Council to "devise a plan to eradicate the vermin."

He raised the matter at the October meeting of the Naas MD.

Cllr. Clear joined Eoin Beatty on Thursday's edition of Kildare Today, on all of his motions before the meeting
