A Celbridge man has been named this year’s Christy Dignam Addiction Recovery Champion.
Darren Scanlon, who has been alcohol-free for over a decade, received the award at the More Than That Festival in Naas last night.

Scanlon founded the Celbridge Boys Club in 2023, creating a safe weekly space for men to connect, support each other and focus on wellbeing.

Darren Scanlon's group meets every Wednesday evening at the Castletown Gates offering men a safe space for connection, support, and wellbeing.
Through weekly walks and activities, members share their challenges and victories.
