Labour Councillor on the Celbridge-Leixlip Municipal District, Ciara Galvin, has confirmed to Kfm that she won't be seeking re-election in 2024.
The Labour selection convention for local elections took place last night and it was decided that Rupert Heather would be the party candidate for the Celbridge area.
Mr. Heather will also be the candidate for co-option to the County Council when Cllr. Galvin goes on maternity leave later this year.
In a statement to Kfm, Cllr. Galvin said she is looking forward to working with Mr. Heather going forward.
