Celbridge Abduction: Dog Fighting Allegations Emerge As Pair Face Charges

Gardaí allege the woman was pulled from her house around 10.10pm on Monday, forced into a car, and driven away.

A court was told a woman was 'dragged' out of her home in Celbridge, forced into a car and driven for 90 minutes after alleged threats to petrol bomb her home over a missing dog.

Two people have been charged in connection to burglary, and threatening to damage a home in Kildare.

34-year-old Samantha Leeson of Priory Square, St Raphael's Manor in Celbridge and 36-year-old Richard O'Leary of Bawnlea Green in Tallaght in Dublin were before Blanchardstown District Court.

Gardaí alleged that Mr O'Leary arrived at the woman's home with others in a car, which was allegedly driven by Ms Leeson.

The court was told officers had obtained CCTV footage from a neighbour.

It's alleged Ms Leeson shouted 'get out here or there's petrol bombs going through the doors' at the house.

Gardaí claim she gained entry to the house, followed by Mr O'Leary followed by an unnamed man.

The court was also told how CCTV showed a woman dragged out of the house and forced into the car - and driven for an hour and a half.

Gardaí stopped the car in Tallaght and found the woman in the car.

A solicitor for Ms Leeson told the court she had asked the woman to look after her dog - and she thought the dog had been entered into dog fights.

Both were remanded in custody to appear again in two separate court hearings over the next week.
