Kildare - both North and South of the county - delivered clear wins for Catherine Connolly when voters went to the polls.
Catherine Connolly is the tenth President of Ireland.
She signed the Declaration of Office during a ceremony in Dublin Castle this afternoon, featuring attendees such as the Taoiseach and former presidents Michael D. Higgins, Mary McAleese and Mary Robinson.
Micheal Martin is among those who have been paying tribute to the new President at the ceremony.
She received the seal of office in the past hour.

In Kildare North, Connolly received 25,748 votes.
