Candidates Face €150 Fines As Election Posters Remain Up Across The County

The requirement to remove posters is seven days after polling day.

Locals have been contacting Kfm over election posters that are still up almost two weeks after the general election.

The deadline for general election posters to be taken down has passed.

Both successful and unsuccessful candidates could face a fine of €150 per poster.

One local said there's a Sinn Fein poster still up on the Nurney Road in Monasterevin.

There's also been sightings of a poster belonging to Bernard Durkan between Mullacash and Swordlestown.

A large poster of Fiona O'Loughlin is still up in Carbury.
