A project called Threads of Truth, run by environmental group Voice Ireland, is shedding light on where some garments we give away are ending up.
They fitted trackers to donated clothes to see where they go.

Campaigners say the findings highlight how little people know about what happens to clothes after they’re donated - and they want retailers and recyclers to be more transparent.

Speaking on Kildare Today, Solene Schirrer, project leader with Voice Ireland, said some of the clothes end up in landfill in far-flung countries.
