1,900 people in parts of South Kildare must continue to boil their water.

An Irish Water boil water notice remains in effect in Graney, and parts of Castledermot

The notice also impacts over 33,000 people in parts of Wicklow, and Carlow Town, Palatine, Killerig/Grange, Rathvilly, Tullow, Ardattin, Ballon, Rathoe, Bennekerry, Tankardstown.

The BWN has been issued because of a "pollution incident in the River Slaney", which is affecting water supplies

Following consultation with the HSE, the Boil Water Notice issued for the Carlow North Regional (Rathvilly) and Tullow Public Water Supplies has been extended to include Carlow Town. See https://t.co/ATOvdbxnJN for areas affected, which also includes parts of Kildare and Wicklow.
