The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is appealing for donations across all blood groups.
It's warning that if the situation doesn't improve, operations could be cancelled.
A blood donation clinic is taking place today on Sunday 10th April in Monread Community Centre Maudlins Avenue Naas from 12-3pm.
The Naas Clinic is also running from Monday 11th - Thursday 14th April from 3.45 - 8pm.
There's a clinic in Kildare Town at Educate Together N.S,. Melitta Road on Monday and Tuesday 11-12th April from 3.45 - 8pm.
All clinics are appointment based only.
