After many false starts, Athy residents will finally have access to Columbarian Walls at St Michael’s Cemetery.

Cllr Aoife Breslin told KFM that the wall will be a focal point of the 2024 Cemeteries Capital Improvement Programme, aimed at enhancing burial facilities in the area.
She said the plan includes the installation of two walls, each accommodating 20 niches.
The project is slated to go to tender in the coming four to six weeks.
