As Storm Bram Approaches, Kildare Council Warns Of Hazardous Conditions And Risk Of Fallen Trees

Met Éireann says Storm Bram will be a multi-hazard event, bringing strong winds and an increased risk of flooding.

Kildare County Council is warning of hazardous conditions as Storm Bram approaches.

Members of the council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team attended a Met Éireann briefing this morning, ahead of the storm’s arrival.

A yellow wind warning is currently in place for the county from 3am to 9pm on Tuesday, December 9th.

Met Éireann says Storm Bram will be a multi-hazard event, bringing strong winds and an increased risk of flooding.

Road users are being urged to take extra care, with difficult driving conditions expected - particularly for cyclists, pedestrians, motorcyclists and high-sided vehicles.

There is a risk from fallen trees and flying debris, and commuters are advised to allow extra time for the Tuesday morning commute.
