Almost €1 million has been scammed from people looking for accommodation over the last two years.
503 people have reported being the victim of a rental scam to Gardaí between February 2019 and May of this year.
Gardaí are urging people to never transfer money direct, pay cash, pay into cryptocurrency wallets.
