The Joint Oireachtas Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform convenes today to discuss general banking matters with AIB
Kildare North Fine Gael TD, Bernard Durkan, is a member of the committee.
The meeting will be attended, remotely, by Dr Colin Hunt, CEO of AIB, Jim O’Keeffe, Managing Director of Retail Banking, and Helen Dooley, Group General Counsel.
Committee Cathaoirleach Deputy John McGuinness said: “Following our previous engagements on general banking matters with independent banking witnesses and Permanent TSB, we look forward to hearing from Dr Hunt and his colleagues. The Committee expects AIB to outline their response to a number of matters of public concern, including EBS tied agents, tracker mortgages, management of customers in loan arrears, the purchase of Ulster Bank loans, digital banking and the future of the branch network.”
