A Temporary Playground Has Opened At The Bawnogues In Kilcock

The playground has been provided to meet locals needs during the construction of the Kilcock Community Centre.

A temporary playground has opened at the Bawnogues in Kilcock.

Kildare County Council has said the play facility has been provided to meet local needs during the construction of Kilcock Community Centre.

The new community centre will cost €2 million, it will be a two-storey, multi-use development which, upon completion, will deliver significant benefit to the community of Kilcock.

The temporary playground includes a variety of play equipment to meet a wide range of physical, social and cognitive needs.

It includes toddler swings, flat swings, a basket swing, a rope bridge, a pole spinner, a rotating climbing web, and a wheelchair accessible picnic bench.

The council has identified a location for the permanent playground on the Bawnogues site and consultation is currently in progress to shape a preliminary design.
