A record 70,000 people are descending on Stradbally, for the return of Electric Picnic.
With most traveling to the event by bus and car, motorist are being advised to leave plenty of time for any journey along the approach routes, including the M7 M9 and the Athy-Stradbally area.

Campers are being warned to prepare for the elements as a status yellow rainfall warning has been issued for the whole country.
The alert will start at 9 o'clock tomorrow night, and run until 12 noon on Sunday.
A pilot drug surrender scheme is also being trialed at this year's festival.
Testers on site will examine drugs handed over to see if they are of a particularly strong strain.
Festival director Melvin Benn is keen to stress that people should stay away from illegal drugs.
