Nationally, new car registrations for the month were up 15%
There was a 27% increase in the number of new cars registered in Kildare in January this year, compared to 2023.
So far this year 1,580 new cars have been registered, while the figure was 1,237 during the same period in 2023.

Kildare also saw a 22% increase in the number of electric vehicles registered this year.
