345 people are waiting for beds nationwide.
Today, Naas General Hosiptal figures show 25 patients are on trolleys according to the INMO.
University Hospital Limerick accounts for the largest number of those, with 130, followed by Cork University Hospital with 62 and University Hospital Galway with 42.
Of the total number of people waiting for beds, 345 are in emergency departments while 148 are in wards, according to the INMO.
Patients attending the Emergency Department with non-urgent issues are currently facing very long waiting times.
Management at Naas General Hospital are asking people with non-emergency health concerns to consider using other healthcare options where possible.
The INMO has warned that Ireland must learn from Australia’s record-breaking flu season, saying our already "overstretched" system would struggle to cope with a surge in respiratory illnesses this winter.
