Some 20 people are waiting for beds in Naas General hospital this morning.

Irish Nurses Midwives Organisation figures show 15 are in emergency departments, while 5 are in wards.

383 people are waiting for beds in hospitals around the country, 280 are in emergency departments, while 103 are in wards.

University Hospital Limerick is once again the worst affected by overcrowding, with 87 patients on trolleys.

That's followed by 37 at Cork University Hospital, and 33 at University Hospital Galway.
