
Over 600 patients are on trolleys across the country
14 people were waiting on trolleys at 8am this morning, in Naas General Hospital.
According to the Irish Nurses & Midwives Organisation, 626 people were awaiting beds throughout the country's hospitals.
The University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected, with 87 patients on trolleys.
Earler this week, Naas General Hospital said they had been experiencing a high level of attendances and admissions.
It means those presenting for emergency hospital care with non-urgent conditions are experiencing long waiting times
The Hospital is asking patients with non-emergency conditions to, where possible, seek assistance from other parts of the health service.
These are described as a GPs or local Pharmacists.
