The Government has announced that they are committed to investing €100 million in developments that will deliver 1,000 student accommodation beds.
In this investment, it would aid in financing 116 new beds in Maynooth University, along with 493 beds in UCD and 405 beds in DCU.
A proportion of the beds would be made available for use by students eligible for SUSI grants or belong to priority categories at a discounted rate of rent.
At a media conference outside Government Buildings, it was stated that construction would start on two of the projects in early 2025.
