Beds have also been promised for UCD and DCU
Taoiseach Simon Harris and Minister for Higher Education Patrick O'Donovan have confirmed a Government investment of €100 million to deliver over 1,000 student accommodation beds.
Of those 1,000, 116 new beds have been promised for Maynooth University, 493 for UCD and 405 for DCU.
"No one should have to turn down a college place or their dreams of pursuing higher education because they can’t access an affordable bed,” said Taoiseach Simon Harris.
"I’m delighted that with the funding comes the condition that a large proportion of the beds will be made available at below market rate for those who need the help most,” he added.
