10,000 Homes Granted Planning Permission In Kildare, But Not Commenced.

Permission was granted in the last 5 years.

10,000 homes have been granted planning permission in Kildare, but have not been constructed.

877 of those are in the Naas MD area, alone, over the last 5 years.

In general, planning permissions have a life-time of 5 years, and in certain circumstances, 10 years.

The duration of permission can be extended, on application.

The data was shared with Social Democrats Councillor, Bill Clear by Kildare County Council.

Speaking to Kildare Today, he says there's a clear problem with developers not building

Cllr. Clear joined Eoin Beatty on Wednesday's edition of the programme.
