The European Commission is considering sanctioning Poland over its stance on EU law.
The European Commission President has warned Poland its stance on EU law calls into question the foundation of the bloc, and cannot go unpunished.
Last week the country's judiciary ruled its national law has primacy over that of the EU.
It has infuriated European officials and led to calls for the commission to act.
President von der Leyen says the commission is considering fines, and triggering a procedure that could strip the country of EU membership.
