Says current vaccines effective against BA.2 strain
The United States' drug regulator, the FDA, has warned current Covid-19 vaccines are not "well-matched" to the dominant strain of the virus.
The Food & Drug Administration has made the assessment, as it examines how best to protect against new variants of Covid-19.
Officials did say current booster vaccines are effective against the BA.2 strain.
They did note there is wider conversation currently taking place, about future vaccine rollouts.
