Statues of Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria have been toppled and defaced by protestors in Canada yesterday.
The demonstators were protesting against the country's residential schools, which opened under the reign of Queen Victoria.
It coincided with the discovery of unmarked graves belonging to indigenous children.
Thursday also marked Canada Day, celebrating independence from colonialism.
