Hitting targets more than 1,400kms away
North Korea says it has successfully fired a new long range cruise missile.
According to state media, the missile hit targets more than 1,400 kilometres away.
The firing has been described as a "strategic weapon" - a phrase sometimes used for something with nuclear capabilities.
It's believed this is the first testing the country has undertaken since March.
The US says it shows the continuing threat the North Korea poses.
