Haiti Earthquake Death Toll Increases To 2,100

UNICEF estimates 540,000 children have limited access to water, food & shelter

The number of people confirmed to have died in a powerful earthquake in Haiti has risen again to over 2,100.

On Saturday morning, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the country.

Hospitals, schools and churches were destroyed - with the area trying to recover while battling heavy rain, after the arrival of Tropical Storm Grace.

UNICEF estimates 1.2 million people, including 540,000 children, have limited access to shelter, water and food.

UNICEF estimates at least $15 million will be needed to "respond to the most urgent needs of at least 385,000 people, including 167,000 children under the age of five for a period of eight weeks".
