English Study Reveals Cervical Cancer Rates 87% Lower In Women Vaccinated Against HPV

Led to approx 450 fewer cases of disease

An English study has revealed cervical cancer rates to be 87% lower in women vaccinated against HPV.

The study was published in the lancet Medical Journal.

It has predicted the vaccine has led to approximately 450 fewer cases.

Researchers assessed women in their 20s, who were vaccinated when they were 12 and 13.

Kate Sanger, from Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust in the UK, says it's incredibly positive, but worries about the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic:
